Welcome to the life of Radge! Or should we say Lee, but that’s just not as fun, is it? This Scottish bloke has lived a life full of music, creativity, and unexpected turns.
It all started with Jester, a pop punk band. Radge was the lead guitarist and co-writer with Phil the bassist. They played loads of shows, were popular, and had a lot of fun. But that wasn’t enough for Radge. He then joined another band called If Munki which was a heavier band, but that didn’t work out. So he joined yet another band, a Nu Metal band and called that band Jester too, cause why not? The man is clearly a glutton for punishment.
But wait, it gets better. In all of these bands, Radge was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist, but one day, he decided to switch things up and became the drummer for a band called Zen Arcade. Shock horror, yes, he’s multi-talented!
Radge even had a guitar built for him by the legendary Manny Charleton’s friend. He called it the Moonstone, and it’s an awesome axe. Fun fact: it was completed in 1997 while Radge was still in school just about to leave. It was given the serial number SCO001, and the rest is history.
Moving away from music, Radge was also into skateboarding. He was never pro, but he was good. He didn’t chase the pro status since he didn’t think you could ever make money from it. Oh, how times have changed.
After leaving school, Radge had various jobs, but the one he liked the most was being a graphic designer for a local print factory. He liked the job so much he started his own business as a web development company and online business management. After many successful years and helping build up a customer’s business to a multi-million-pound home furnishing business, he gave his business up due to his mother becoming ill. She passed away, and Radge went back to working full-time… for the man!
Radge even tried his hand at making videos for YouTube, but that didn’t work out. It was supposed to be all about making videos, graphics, animation, photography, audio, and anything creative but also anything related to making youtube videos. The man was a jack of all trades but couldn’t quite find his niche.
Then came Fortnite. Radge’s daughter wanted him to play with her, and he caved. He bought a fancy PC for video editing, but little did he know that Fortnite would be installed on it one day. Now, he’s a bloody gamer!
Let’s not forget about the Everyday Scottish podcast, which Radge created and hosted. It started in 2019 and was popular, taking off well, but unfortunately ended due to creative differences between himself and the co-host. It was put on hold for a while due to Covid, then got back into it before they stopped in 2021.
Radge has had an interesting life, and this is not even all of the highlights. There’s a much bigger story to be told when it comes to the life of Radge. Maybe one day he’ll talk about some other things if people are interested. But for now, let’s just appreciate the fact that this Scottish bloke has lived a life full of surprises and unexpected turns.
